WebEx Postal Policy Discussion

A group of more than 20 postal stakeholders discussed the key issues impacting the U.S. Postal Service. This included the severe and persistent decline in service, proposals to reduce the Postal Service’s retiree health benefit costs, and the outlook for holistic postal reform in 2021-22.

On March 2, the U.S. Government Accountability Office again announced that the Postal Service is on its high-risk list of government agencies. This combined with the new Administration and Congress, frustration with the Postal Service’s service performance, and an anticipated new strategic plan from the Postmaster General will all make for an important and busy year on postal policy.
