You’ve likely had the dreadful experience of mailing a bill payment or a letter to someone, only for it to arrive later than expected due to delays. Sending mail across your state or even the country feels like a game of chance with the US Postal Service. During the first quarter of this year, around 20% of first-class mail across the US was delivered late. And now snail mail is about to get slower for some of the 160 million residences and businesses that rely on the Postal Service. To add to those struggles, the cost to ship a parcel for the holidays will go up Oct. 3.
