“Service Measurement Systems for Market Dominant Products” – A Briefing by the PRC’s Public Representative

Kenneth Richardson, Postal Regulatory Commission Public Representative for issues including Service Performance Measurement Systems for Market Dominant Products, discussed the concerns raised in his comments filed earlier this year.  These included pointing out a failure to use statistically reliable performance measures, concerns about the exclusion of certain important data, and other accuracy issues.  He also shared his thoughts on upcoming developments, and what impact they may have for postal consumers.

Dr. Michael Schuyler, Senior Economist with the Institute for Research on Economics of Taxation, offered his analysis of the economic slowdown, and specifically what it means for the Postal Service.
